Reference information

Our articles help explain fabrics, care choices and small repairs. They cannot inspect your item or establish that a particular treatment is safe for every construction, finish, dye or condition. Follow the actual care label, equipment manual and product directions. Seek appropriate professional help for fragile, historic, valuable or specialist items.

Examples are explanatory and do not promise a repair outcome, product lifespan, stain-removal result or performance ranking. We may correct or update content when the evidence changes.

Content and image rights

Article text and original brand graphics are provided for reading and ordinary personal reference. These terms do not grant permission to republish the website or sell copies. Third-party photographs remain governed by the licenses linked in their credits. A source citation is not permission to copy that source's text, diagrams or patterns.

Responsible use

Do not misuse this site to impersonate its publisher, misrepresent its guidance, interfere with access or distribute harmful material. Do not remove credits from third-party images when their applicable license requires attribution.
